Hi everyone! I know that I posted a blog just a few days ago, but I felt the need to ask for prayer over my entire squad. God is doing something so great in each and every one of our hearts, and the devil does not like it.

Before coming on the race, I greatly overlooked the enemy. Acts 2:17 references when our loving God sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in us. With that being said, John 10:10 also says the enemy has come to steal and kill and destroy.

Even though it is hard for me to believe, there is a spiritual battle among us. As I learn, I have been asking many questions, and God has been deepening my understanding.

I’m not saying that every hardship, sickness, and challenge is due to the devil, but I am starting to realize that there’s actually an enemy who actively tries to separate us from God’s will.

The devil has been completely defeated. His power has been lost over us (Colossians 2:15), but remember 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”

Satan is real. His power is lost, but he can still tempt, deceive, accuse, and influence our minds. 

Over the past week my squad has potentially seen so many spiritual attacks through sickness, injuries, and other methods that have left multiple people in hospitals and some even sent home.

BUT these challenges haven’t stoped us. Last night, my squad did a prayer burn from 9p until 7a. We prayed continually throughout the entire night, lifting up all that God had placed on our hearts.

Every single one of us could feel the heaviness in the air, but as the night went on, peace was brought upon us. My shift started at 4am, and even though my slot was only 30 minutes long, I prayed until 8am … FOUR HOURS later!

God brought me so much clarity, so much joy, so much peace, and so much goodness. It may seem like I spent a long time praying, but God brings so much goodness, and who knew that when you actually spend time with God, he would fill you with love!!?

So, I just want to say thank you to everyone who is lifting up my squad, and I wanted to share that the enemy is deceitful – even if that may be hard to comprehend. Honestly, it has been hard for me.

THANKFULLY - Jesus’s name levels mountains, carves highways through the sea, calms battles, and sends Goliath to his knees, so why do we act powerless when James 5:16 says “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”?

The holy spirit is within us, and we get to claim that power – the power of Jesus’ name.
